    Ginhong offers two types of Sanitary Pumps; a Rotary Lobe Pump and a Centrifugal Pump. They provide a selection of models for both the LP Rotary Lobe Pumps and CP Centrifugal Pumps depending on the physical, mechanical and chemical properties of the material to be processed.     Quality Control of Sanitary Pumps

    All Sanitary Pumps manufactured by Ginhong adheres with Cleaning-in-place regulatory requirements in which interior surfaces of pipes, vessels, process equipment, filters and associated fittings can be cleaned internally without disassembly.

    This makes Ginhong Sanitary Pumps more efficient than other competitors as maintenance is reduced and sanitary requirements are fulfilled accordingly.

    In addition, Ginhong manufactures products complying with Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) regulations enforced by the FDA. CGMP is vital for quality control of manufacturing plants as it entails proper design, monitoring, and control of manufacturing processes and procedures.

    Adherence to the CGMP regulations assures the identity, strength, and quality of manufacturing operations. CGMP also establishes strong quality management systems, robust operating procedures and investigating product quality deviations.

    Configurations Available:

    The most common configuration of this type of pump contains two lobes within the chamber with separate external driven timing gears mounted on two shafts. With this arrangement, the two pumping gears do not contact each other, and the unit is more suitable for liquids with viscosities between 5,000-100,000 cps. Lobe options may also include tri-lobe and multi-lobe depending on the materials to be carried.

    Rotary Lobe Pump units are used to transfer large but delicate items such as cherries and molasses. They are frequently used in food applications, because they handle solids without damaging the pump. For this reason, Rotary Lobe Pumps are commonly used for the following industries:

    What are Ginhong LP Rotary Lobe Pumps made of

    In general, these LP series of lobe pumps are equipped with two rotors, pump chamber, mechanical seal, transmission part and geared motor for each unit. The body of the rotary lobe pump is mounted on a stainless steel base.

    The lobes are made of food grade, FDA approved elastomers. All contact parts are made of Stainless steel 316L, which is far better than other common stainless steel types, as it is coated with Molybdenum to be more corrosion resistive.

    Ginhong uses Stainless steel in their Sanitary Pumps as its properties are more advantageous as compared to standard plain carbon mild steel. Stainless steels have higher corrosion resistance properties, higher cryogenic toughness, higher ductility and lower maintenance is needed.

    How Ginhong LP Rotary Lobe Pumps Work

    Ginhong LP Rotary Lobe Pumps work very simple. As an essential auxiliary machine for Ginhong Vacuum Emulsifiers, High Shear Mixers, Planetary Mixers, Lab Mixers, Multi-Shaft Mixers, these pumps are sandwich internally in the system. An inlet port is connected to the manufacturing vessel and an outlet port is connected to the storage vessel for the transfer of product.

    The circular impeller accelerates water or other liquid to the outer periphery of the elliptical casing. Gas from the intake port is trapped in the space between adjacent blades and as this space is turned toward the discharge port, the liquid in the partially filled cylinder acts as a piston to compress the gas. This type of pump serves well as a vacuum pump.

    The impellers are held in correct alignment by gears external to the casing so that there is no rubbing between the impellers themselves or between the Impellers and casings. The internal surfaces run dry.

    Unlike Rotary Lobe Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps uses a powerful rotation of the impeller to move materials and fluids out of its discharge port. This type of pump is more suitable for medium to low viscosity fluids such as water, solvents, organics, oils, acids, bases and any thin liquids in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, agricultural and domestic applications.

    What are Ginhong CP Centrifugal Pumps Made of

    A Centrifugal Pump is a very simple machine consisting of only two parts: the casing and the impeller. Other subparts are the seal, impeller bearings, motor, coupling, shaft-drive and shaft seal. Ginhong manufactures the impeller and all contact parts using Stainless steel 316L, which is far better than other common stainless steel types, as it is coated with Molybdenum to be more corrosion-resistive.

    How Ginhong CP Centrifugal Works

    In a centrifugal pump, the liquid is forced, by atmospheric or other pressure, into a set of rotating vanes which constitute an impeller discharging the liquid at higher pressure and higher velocity at its periphery. The major portion of the velocity energy is then converted into pressure energy by means of a volute or by a set of stationary diffusion vanes surrounding the impeller periphery.

    If the casing and impeller of the centrifugal pump stand full of the fluid that is to be handled and the impeller is set in motion, the centrifugal force of the rotation will tend to throw outward into the casing the fluid that is contained in the impeller.
